We’re excited to keep sharing a special glimpse into the year behind us along with a chance to get to know your travel agent. Today, we’re shining the spotlight on some of the standout moments from Lauren Benatovich’s year. We hope you enjoy this little look back as much as we do.
2025 has been a whirlwind of challenges and joy for our family, but amidst all the craziness, we carved out precious moments to relax, explore, and grow together!
January & February:
We stayed close to home, soaking up every minute with our sweet little guy—watching him experience his very first snow! It feels like just yesterday we were welcoming him into the world, and wow, Marcus is already ONE!
April – Our First Solo Vacation: Hawaii Bliss
For the first time since Marcus was born, we escaped for a kid-free trip—and what a dream it was! We ventured to Hawaii, splitting our time between two absolutely incredible properties that helped us recharge and reconnect:
Andaz Maui at Wailea: This sleek, modern resort set along the shimmering shores of Wailea offered a perfect blend of laid-back luxury and local culture. The open-air design, stunning ocean views, and vibrant art around the property created a serene oasis. We loved lounging by their infinity pools and dining on fresh island flavors at their signature restaurants.
Four Seasons Resort Lanai: The Four Seasons on Lanai completely stole our hearts. This secluded, ultra-luxe hideaway is nestled on a dramatic coastline, with impeccable service that made us feel truly pampered. From their beautifully appointed rooms with breathtaking ocean vistas to exploring the sprawling grounds, every moment was pure bliss. The resort’s stunning infinity pools and spa wrapped us in relaxation like nowhere else.
While on Maui, we treated ourselves to a meal at the legendary Mama’s Fish House in Paia, known for its fresh, locally caught seafood and authentic Hawaiian atmosphere. Snorkeling the crystal-clear waters of Molokini Crater was a magical underwater adventure filled with vibrant marine life. We also finally crossed off a long-held bucket list experience by attending a traditional Hawaiian luau, enjoying lively music and hula dancing.
Though we skipped the Haleakala sunrise this trip, we’re already dreaming of witnessing that awe-inspiring moment on our next visit!
Back on Lanai, the highlight was a semi-private catamaran sail along serene waters followed by an unforgettable, intimate Teppanyaki dinner at Nobu—a truly exquisite culinary experience. We even made a night-time trip to the observatory, star-gazing under some of the clearest skies we’ve ever seen. Our goal was simple: rest, recharge, and reconnect. Lanai was the perfect place for that.
May - We moved!
We planted new roots by moving to Mooresville, NC on Lake Norman, and undertook a major home renovation to create a space perfectly suited to our growing family’s needs.
June – My First Solo Trip: Sugar Beach, St. Lucia
June was special because I took my very first solo trip—a familiarization experience at the breathtaking Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort, nestled between the iconic Pitons of St. Lucia. This resort has it all: jaw-dropping views, pristine beach, and a warm, welcoming culture. Waking up to the twin Pitons framing the horizon was like living a dream. The five-star service made every moment feel indulgent. I can’t wait to bring the whole family back here for a longer stay! Click here for a full recap of my trip.
New Family Member: Meet Otto
We also welcomed a new bundle of fur—our goldendoodle, Otto! After missing our beloved Lola, Otto’s energetic spirit and cuddles have brought so much joy back into our home. Marcus loves having a dog his size to play with, and Holly’s thrilled to have a furry companion again.
July: Lake Days are the Best Days
We kept it local and festive by hosting another fun-filled Fourth of July party at Lake Norman—always a highlight of summer!
August – Couple’s Getaway in Naples, FL:
A quick escape with my husband to Naples gave us time to relax at the gorgeous LaPlaya Beach Resort. Sun, surf, and exploring downtown’s charming streets made for a perfect weekend. We’re excited to make this a family trip soon!
September – Babymoon in Nevis:
Mom and Dad enjoyed a serene babymoon at the secluded Four Seasons Resort Nevis. The near-private vibe of the island was perfect for some quiet, quality time together before baby number two arrives.
Holiday Season:
October through December saw us celebrating the holidays through Marcus’ curious eyes. Though Santa is still a little overwhelming, his wonder and excitement reminded us of the magic of the season. We’re already looking forward to trying again next year!
Looking Ahead to 2026:
We are eagerly awaiting our newest family member—baby boy number two is coming very soon in January! Marcus is ready to be a big brother, and we can’t wait to see what adventures and memories the new year has in store for our growing family.
