THE ULTIMATE BUCKET LIST: (PART 2)

Costa Rica

Costa Rica, a beautiful country located in Central America. Surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, Costa Rica has some of the most gorgeous terrain you will ever see. Known for its tropical beaches, rainforests, hot springs, national parks and volcanoes, you will be surrounded by breathtaking nature. Although most people think of beaches when it comes to this country, a quarter of the country is actually jungle, full of unique species of wildlife. Take a trip to one of the national parks where you can interact with sloths, monkeys and birds. Costa Rica is the perfect vacation for all types. If you want adventure there is an array of activities you can participate in, such as hiking around waterfalls, zip lining, white water rafting or perhaps surfing. You will have plenty to choose from. For those who want more of a leisurely, relaxing trip, spend your days on any of the many beaches or soak in the natural hot springs. If you want to experience a true, tropical paradise than check out the amazing Costa Rica!

It's no surprise that Hawaii is a top choice when it comes to dream vacations. Where else can you find beaches with gold, red, black and green sand? With six beautiful islands for visitors to choose from, you won't go wrong with any one of them. Hawaii is known for its tropical weather, beaches, beautiful waterfalls and active volcanoes. With wonderful excursions available, you can see the volcanoes close up. On the island of Kauai, take a helicopter ride over the volcano on Mt Waialeale. In Oahu, take a hike to the top of Diamond Head, or drive to the summit of Haleakala in Maui. The most popular volcano of all is Kilauea on Hawaii Island, which has been in a state of constant eruption since 1983! Visiting any one of these is an experience you will never forget. Other adventures include, snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, whale watching and many, many more. On top of all of these wonders of nature and fun, Hawaii has some of the best weather you will find. It is pleasant and warm for most of the year. The sun is said to always be shining somewhere on the island. Of course, Hawaii is a personal favorite of mine, this beautiful state is where Steve used to live and we spent our honeymoon! In fact I love Hawaii so much that I just got my Hawaii specialist certification. If you are interested in taking a trip to this wonderful destination I would love to help! Aloha!

Machu Picchu Peru

Located on top of the magnificent Andes mountains of Peru, lies the ancient Incan ruins of Machu Picchu. One of the reasons I am so excited to tell you about this amazing place is because it is somewhere I have always wanted to visit, and I finally get to this summer for my birthday! To say I am excited is an understatement. Machu Picchu is truly a wonder of this world. In fact, it was actually voted one of the new seven wonders of the world. An intricate creation of walls, ramps, stairways and buildings made from rock and stone, Machu Picchu was built without mortar or tools. The stones are cut so exact that Machu Picchu is truly spectacular. What makes it even more intriguing is that the origin remains a mystery. Built in the 15th century, some say it was the home of the Incan emperor, a religious site or possibly even the lost city of the Incans. In 1981 it was declared a Peruvian Historic Sanctuary. You can tour the ruins and travel to the top by bus, train or if you enjoy a good workout, you can walk for free. The central point of the ruins sits at 7,970 feet above sea level so the views have got to be out of this world. If Machu Picchu is not on your bucket list, add it now. I cannot wait to share my trip with you to this awe inspiring place!
