What is your dream destination?

Europe. We'll go to a city and soak up the culture.

An action packed hiking, biking, and kayaking adventure.

Chilling out with a good book by the ocean.

Your ideal travel style is...

Luxurious! Satin sheets and champagne breakfasts in a 5-star hotel - or something like it!

Comfortable. A good location with decent amenities in a 4-star hotel is perfect.

Who cares? We only sleep in our room so we don't bother with fancy stuff.

What is your financial philosophy about travel?

You only live once. Let's make each trip count!

We want a memorable experience, but we don't want to overspend.

We've got a shoestring budget and are watching every penny.

When you plan trips via the internet, how do you feel?

Awful. I don't have time to sift through all the options. It's overwhelming.

Meh. Sometimes I don't mind research, but it's hard to know what's real.

Great! I love spending 90+ hours planning my own trips.

What is your level of travel risk tolerance?

Safety is key. I don't want to travel out of my comfort zone.

Something moderately different than the atmosphere at home is fine.

Drop me in the middle of a third world country with a tent and some MREs and I will be fine.

Do you have a favorite travel season?

Summer! We don't mind the crowds or the heat.

Spring or fall. Fewer people means more room for us.

Winter. Prices are lower and hours are limited, but who cares?

No, not really.

How do you like to plan vacations?

My motto: "fail to plan and you plan to fail."

I like having a plan, but I also like some spontaneity.
