HOW TRAVEL CAN HELP BEAT THE BLUES

Have you ever felt like you needed a break? Life gets hectic and every now and then we all catch ourselves saying "I need to get away." Well maybe a trip is just what you need to find your happy place again. Here is why travel can help beat the blues.

Travel gives you just what you need by allowing you to relax and recharge in a different environment. It allows you that break from your real life where you can reflect and just take time out for yourself.

Research has proven that exercise reduces anxiety and depression significantly. In 2005 a study was done at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center which showed that 30 minutes of moderate exercise five days a week reduced feeling of depression into nearly half. So, while you are on your trip, be sure to do plenty of sightseeing, hiking, even shopping, any type of activity is sure to get you going and feeling great.

Gives You Thinking Time

Get outside of your own little world and see the bigger picture. Thinking about how good life is will come easy when you are seeing beautiful parts of the world. Being away from the business of your life gives you time to appreciate the small things.

Time with Loved Ones

If you decide to travel with family or friends than this can make it even better. Being around people who you can have a great time with is icing on the cake. Take time to enjoy your travel partner(s) and be sure to get plenty of laughter in, because we all know laughter is the best medicine.
